TOURNAMENT RULES 2018 - 2019
The following general rules have been agreed by the CHA Schools and Youth Committee to be adhered to at all County Tournaments. The Tournament Organiser and the Committee will have complete discretion on the method of operation, venue, timing and any necessary alterations regarding individual tournaments.
Teams who fail to withdraw by the set deadline will be fined £25.
All teams must provide an umpire.
All teams must provide their own first aid kit.
For the 2018/2019 Tournaments players must be under the set age on the 1st September 2018 for all schools and club tournaments. Team sheets forms must be completed for each tournament.
Indoor Hockey Tournaments, Festivals & In2Hockey ONLY – schools/colleges can enter up to two teams.
Playing schedules will be handed out on the day of the tournament. All Tournaments will be played in accordance with the Rules of Hockey.
Scoring 3 points = Win
1 point = Draw
0 points = Lose
The team with the highest points wins.
If equal on points - goal difference
- goals against
If still tied then 5 penalty strokes, followed by sudden death. This will also be followed in the semi-final and final stages of a tournament. For In2Hockey and Indoor Tournaments a series of 3 penalty strokes, followed by sudden death.
The top two teams from Preliminary Tournaments will qualify for the County Finals.
County qualifiers for West/National Tournaments MUST attend the regional round, as failure to attend will result in Cornwall Hockey Association recouping the West HA Tournament entry fee for the respective competition from the non-attending school / club.
In any dispute the decision of the Tournament Organiser is final.
