Cornwall Primary Hockey Festival – a World Cup success!

Posted by Glayne Price on 19 July 2018

The World Cup atmosphere came to Cornwall last week when Cornwall HA ran its annual Primary School Hockey Festival, which this year was linked to the Vitality Women’s Hockey World Cup. Each participating team represented a Country at the Festival. Over 80 players from schools all across the County took part in the Festival in hot conditions at Truro SchoolWinning the Gold Medal was Lanivet School representing Australia! With Silver going to St Marys RC (Penzance) representing China and the Bronze to Tredagillet School representing Spain.

A massive thank you to Truro School for hosting the event.  Also to the Young Leaders from Truro School who very competently umpired and officiated the Festival.

Well done all!
