Decision – cancel tournament, no rearrangement.
3. No Primary Hockey Festival
Decision – cancel tournament, no rearrangement.
2019/20 Junior Competitions (Clubs)
1. U10 mixed League – lost Jan date to frozen pitch & last date to lockdown so only played 2 dates prior to Christmas (League table is up to date on Cornwall Hockey website)
Decision - league table to stand after 2 dates. Refund 50% entry fee to participating clubs by offering credit note for 2020/21 entries. 50% = £32.50 per team, 8 teams = £260. Note of teams has been recorded and will be deducted from next seasons entry fee.
Congratulations to Caradon Lions on winning the U10 league & Truro Green as runner up. We will sort out a way of getting the trophy, medals / certs to you!
2. U14 Girls League – only lost last date to lockdown so 3 dates played. Teams have played either 9, 10 or 11 matches.
Decision - total number of points won, divided by the total number of points available from the games played and then expressed as a percentage. Refund 25% entry fee to participating clubs by offering credit note for 2020/21 entries. 25% = £18.75 per team, 8 teams = £150. Note of teams has been recorded and will be deducted from next seasons entry fee.
Congratulations to Penzance Panthers on winning the U14 Girls league & Launceston as runner up. We will sort out a way of getting the trophy, medals / certs to you!

Planning / thoughts for next season:
2020/21 Player Pathway
West PP Admin meeting discussed options for returning to hockey in regards to Player Pathway. Obviously we would normally run our DC in May / June as per the calendar. There are 2 proposals but they are dependent on government advise, EH decisions and facility access especially on school sites:
- September start – run DC Sept to Nov, assessments and then AC Jan to April
- January start – run AC only with limited competition dates
Option 2 was the preferred choice for most counties as this gave players time to return to their school and club first before the Player Pathway. Also financially this option has a reduced impact with more players on the pitch (social distancing at present would mean poss 12-20 players on whole pitch) and only running a reduced AC would be self-financing.
Decision – plan for both options in calendar, post news item on website and then wait for Government / EH decision.
2020/21 Junior Competitions (Schools)
Who knows??? Will schools play fixtures??
Decision – plan full season calendar and amend as required
2020/21 Junior Competitions (Clubs)
Again – who knows??
Decision – plan full calendar fixture list and amend as required
2020/21 Development League (Clubs)
Decision – plan full calendar fixture list and amend as required. If full calendar not possible – Jan start on half fixtures, either home or away
